How We Got It Done

The Problem

What We Found

Before the replacement, the roof showed visible wear with curled shingle edges, fading, and granule buildup in the gutters. The homeowner had also noticed a faint stain on the upstairs hallway ceiling, along with worn flashing around the chimney and rear dormer tie-ins.

The Challenge

What Made It Tricky

The home had a steep front pitch and tight detailing around the dormer, so the tear-off and flashing work needed to be handled carefully. We also had to protect the front landscaping and keep the walkway clear while the work was underway.

Our Solution

How We Solved It

We completed a full tear-off and replaced the damaged decking boards found near the back slope. Our crew installed ice-and-water shield at the eaves, valleys, and penetrations, followed by synthetic underlayment, new chimney and dormer flashing, and GAF architectural shingles in Charcoal with matching ridge caps.

The Result

The Final Outcome

The finished roof has a clean, even appearance and a much better weather barrier than the old system. The new shingles and flashing give the home a sharper profile while improving protection against rain, wind, and winter freeze-thaw cycles.
