The Problem

What We Found

Before the replacement, the roof had curled shingles along the front slope, faded color, and visible granule loss near the gutters. The homeowner had also started seeing faint discoloration on an upstairs ceiling, which pointed to aging flashing around the chimney and rear dormer.

The Challenge

What Made It Tricky

The home had a steep front pitch and a few tight transitions around the dormer, so the tear-off and flashing work needed careful handling. We also had to protect the landscaping and keep the property tidy since the front walkway sat close to the work area.

Our Solution

How We Solved It

We completed a full tear-off, replaced damaged decking where needed, and installed ice-and-water shield at the eaves, valleys, and around all vulnerable roof details. The new roof system was finished with synthetic underlayment, updated chimney and dormer flashing, and GAF architectural shingles in Weathered Wood with matching ridge caps.

The Result

The Final Outcome

The finished roof has a fresh, even appearance and a stronger weather barrier than the old system. The new shingles and flashing tie the whole exterior together neatly while giving the home better protection through storms, wind, and winter weather.
