How We Solved It
We performed a fast inspection, removed the damaged shingles in the affected area, and installed new ice-and-water shield under the repair zone for extra protection. Then we reset the flashing at the chimney, sealed the dormer tie-in, and matched the repair with charcoal architectural asphalt shingles from GAF so the finished work blended in cleanly.
The Result

The leak was stopped and the repaired area dried out properly after the next storm. From the street, the roof looks uniform again, and the chimney and dormer areas now have a tighter weather seal than before.
